The power of the World Safety Declaration is drawn from companies across the globe making a strong commitment to change and collaboration. Any company that is committed to making a difference about workplace safety both in its organization and the world at large is invited to sign the World Safety Declaration.
In Signing the Declaration a Company Agrees
1.
To make a public commitment to improving workplace safety
2.
To collaborate with other companies to enhance safety in the workplace and in the home in ways that can be defined, evaluated and measured
3.
To report its challenges, progress and successes at the XVIII World Congress on Safety and Health at Work in 2008
An individual who signs the Declaration is committing his or her company to this initiative. This means that the individual must either be the head of the company or have the authority to sign on behalf of the company. Individual companies are responsible for benchmarking their own progress for reporting in 2008.
